Some tomatillos that didn't form to a good size when the frosts came have been sitting on the soil since November or so. Some of their paper husks have nicely skeletonized, that is, the softer tissues have decomposed, leaving behind this lacy vascular network.
Also, the purple Rapa Pop mustard greens are still producing even after being under ice for weeks. The color is so pretty. The description says the plant is "a result of Frank Morton crossing purple mustards, won bok and red turnip." I'll plant more seed for this early, maybe even in March.
